You will explore the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater and the legendary plains of Serengeti National Park before boarding a scheduled bush flight to Zanzibar for a relaxing beach stay.
Expect spectacular scenery, dense wildlife populations, and high chances of spotting the Big Five. The Ngorongoro Crater offers one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife experiences, while the Serengeti provides vast open savannahs known for predators and the Great Migration (seasonal). This safari features:
Your safari begins in Arusha with a morning departure toward the Ngorongoro highlands. The drive passes through fertile farmlands and gradually ascends into cooler mountain air. Upon arrival at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you descend 600 meters into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a half-day game drive. The crater floor supports an extraordinary density of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, hyenas, zebras, and wildebeests. The endangered black rhino is frequently spotted here, making this one of the best locations in Tanzania to see all members of the Big Five. Hippos gather in freshwater pools, flamingos line the soda lake, and predators patrol the open plains. The enclosed ecosystem creates remarkable viewing opportunities within a relatively small area. After your game drive, you ascend to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at your lodge. The cooler temperatures and panoramic views over the caldera create a spectacular and tranquil evening atmosphere. After breakfast, you depart Ngorongoro and travel westward toward Serengeti National Park. As you leave the crater highlands behind, the landscape gradually opens into the endless golden plains that define the Serengeti. Game viewing begins as soon as you enter the park. Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera region, is known for year-round wildlife due to permanent water sources. You may encounter large herds of zebra and wildebeest, giraffes browsing acacias, and elephants crossing the plains. The Serengeti is especially famous for its predators. Lions rest on rocky kopjes, leopards lounge in riverine trees, and cheetahs scan the grasslands for prey. Accommodation: Serengeti Queens Camp Meals & Drinks All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included).
Today is dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti ecosystem. Early morning and afternoon game drives maximize wildlife sightings when animals are most active. The open plains allow exceptional visibility and photography opportunities. Large lion prides are often seen hunting or resting, while hyenas patrol nearby. The Seronera River area attracts a concentration of wildlife, including hippos and crocodiles. The Serengeti’s scale is awe-inspiring — rolling grasslands stretch to the horizon, broken only by acacia trees and granite kopjes. The sense of space and freedom defines the experience here. After a full day of exploration, return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Serengeti Queens Camp Meals & Drinks All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included).
Begin your final safari day with an early morning game drive. Dawn is one of the most rewarding times in the Serengeti, as predators are still active and the golden light enhances the beauty of the landscape. After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to the Serengeti airstrip for your scheduled bush flight to Zanzibar. The flight offers stunning aerial views of the savannah before crossing the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your beach hotel. As you settle into your island accommodation, the rhythm of your journey shifts from safari adventure to coastal relaxation — white sand beaches, warm ocean breezes, and Swahili charm. This concludes your 4-day Ngorongoro and Serengeti drive-in-fly-out safari, seamlessly connecting Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations with the tropical beauty of Zanzibar.
